Having taken on Tesco in Channel 4's  Great British Food Fight , Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall returns to River Cottage HQ for a brand new series that celebrates the very best food that spring and summer have to offer. As always, the king of fop rustles up a range of impressive dishes, using the finest seasonal produce that is available and tasty right now. The River Cottage vegetables are growing and this year Hugh is championing one of his favourites: the pea (that doesn't surprise us). He has valuable tips on planting and some innovative ideas for transforming peas into fine canapés. With the weather warming up it's time to shear the River Cottage sheep, and to mark the event Hugh is throwing a sheep shearing party. Every bash needs its tipple, and Hugh delves into the hedgerows with foraging buddy John Wright to make a prickly gorse flower brew. It's so far away from urbanity it's charming. If you missed the Desperate Housewives finale on RTE, you can catch it again on Channel 4 at 10.00pm. Oh, and if you really enjoy torturing yourself, Big Brother's Big Quiz follows afterwards.
