One in four Irish people will experience depression during their life time, but it has remained a silent epidemic that people are often ashamed to talk about. It is for these reasons that Ray is on a mission to understand the problem of Depression in our country, to meet the people affected by it directly and, most importantly, to get the nation talking about it. In the first part of his investigation, he explains some of the most commonly used terminology relating to the illness, and meets people from a variety of backgrounds who have had to cope with depression for most of their lives.
