Clint Eastwood's directorial debut was a complete left-turn for him, considering his output up to this point. More known for his roles in Spaghetti Westerns such as The Good, The Bad & The Ugly and gritty crime dramas like Dirty Harry, Eastwood went completely against type. Playing a laid-back radio DJ, he encounters a young woman who's become infatuated with him. That woman is none other than Jessica Walter, she of Arrested Development and Archer. Glenn Close may be the most well-known bunny boiler in Fatal Attraction, however Walter's wide-eyed and crazy performance is far more disturbing. One of the finest thrillers of the 1970's.
