Sir David Attenborough promises that Planet Earth II will be unlike any nature documentary ever seen before, and from what we’ve seen from the trailers so far, that could very well be the case. The six episode-long series kicks off tonight with Attenborough once again lending his soothing, charismatic voice as the narrator, plus there will be an awesome score from the inimitable Hans Zimmer. Planet Earth II has been in the making for years and is BBC’s first ever show to be shot in the Ultra High Definition format. Its first episode looks at the variety of animals living on islands, such as sloths, iguanas and penguins.
