This documentary looks at the life of unconventional artist Patrick Collins, a gifted bohemian sort, who was one of Ireland's greatest ever painters. Collins has since passed on to the art-deco museum in the sky, but here the makers take in interviews with his widow Patricia, his daughter Penelope, and nephew Patrick; who all recollect their fondest memories of the man. Despite being widely regarded as a true great of his field, Patrick struggled to make ends meet, with his bohemian lifestyle often making normal family life difficult for his wife and children. Shot on location in his native Sligo, as well as Dublin, Paris and Normandy; this is an interesting look at one of Ireland's most talented exports. Hang around afterwards for The View, where John is joined by Nadine O' Regan and others to discuss the ace, Anvil! The Story of Anvil.
