The BAFTA-winning observational series filmed in a maternity ward continues its second run, capturing new lives beginning and others changing forever. This week two couples deal with long and difficult labours in very different ways. One dad shows how humour can lift the sprits, while the other prefers to deliver rousing pep talks. Julia (31) and her partner Dean (29) are expecting their first child. After meeting online they exchanged phone numbers and became Facebook friends. Meanwhile, Donna (30) and Wayne (33) are expecting baby number two. Donna is apprehensive: her last labour lasted for days, and she fears she might be in for a repeat experience. To get you over the trauma of that, Channel 4 are showing Alan Carr: Chatty Man at 10.00pm. The host is joined by Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch, who discusses his new stage role in Frankenstein. Kerry Katona reveals details about her involvement with Dancing on Ice, and Jamiroquai perform their latest single Lifeline. Man-sized baby, James Corden, also drops in.
