Colin Jaysus Faddle stars in this intriguing take on an Irish folklore tale. Neil Jordan directs Faddle as a fisherman in rural Cork who snags a young woman in his net. The woman, Ondine, speaks with a strange accent and is reclusive, thus prompting Farrell to put her up in his mother's cottage whilst she recuperates. Farrell's ailing daughter believes Ondine to be a selkie - a mythical seal that turns into a woman once they hit land. As we said, Neil Jordan directs this fairytale-cum-Ken Loach drama about illness, alcoholism and Irish folklore. Watch it for the beautiful scenery and gorgeous soundtrack.
