Returning for a second series On The Street Where You Live takes a walk through Irish cities and towns to discover avenues where local history, ordinary lives and their stories meet. The stories are told from a personal point of view by those who have witnessed changes firsthand. A city's central boulevard provides a stage for victory parades, state funerals and protests. They are also the venue for creating countless personal memories. On the Street Where You Live is where people pick their engagement ring and their funeral suit, but most of all, it's what they call home. From an era of thriving industry to one of paramilitary bomb attacks and civil unrest, some local traders on the Strand Road in Derry have survived and have kept on working. But today their family-run businesses face a new challenge.
