Nick's Bistro is TV3's brand new fly on the wall series following Nick Munier from Hell's Kitchen, and Stephen Gibson, former head chef of Dublin's Michelin Star restaurant L'Ecrivain, as they set up their new Dublin restaurant. In the midst of the worst recession in decades. Over six weeks we experience the highs, the lows and every emotion in between as they battle with the budget, create the menus, renovate the premises, source their suppliers and prepare for a very public opening. In episode one, we meet Nick and Stephen as they show us around the newly acquired premises and we learn of their plans for the space. It's no mean feat, as it was previously a café and now they need to turn it into a full blown restaurant, which means a complete overhaul of the kitchen, a redesign of the dining area, and a brand new kit out.
