Neven's Food From The Sun" is a new 13-part series from the talented chef, Neven Maguire. Shot on location in Mallorca, and in Neven's own kitchen in Cavan, the series will bring a much-needed touch of sunshine into our lives. In each programme Neven focuses on a particular ingredient or type of ingredients and takes us through various recipes from different countries, from fish, lamb, fruit, olive oil and vegetables to tapas, mezes and desserts. In the fifth programm of the series, Neven focuses on vegetables and salads. Palma's largest indoor market, Mercat de OLivar, is where he discovers purple carrots (their original colour before the Dutch bred them to be orange, wouldn't you know) and local ramallet tomatoes which can keep for 5 months, hung on bits of string.
