In the second and final episode of Care Home Kid, Neil explores what happens to young people when they leave care. When it reached time for Neil to leave his care home, he was taken in by the family of a school friend so that he could continue his education and follow his aspirations to become an actor. Now, 30 years on, Neil at last finally gets the chance to thank that family. With almost 60,000 children in foster care over in the UK, Neil is intrigued to find out find how the type of care today compares to what he once experienced. In Bristol, Andy has been fostering for 25 years and during that time she has looked after around 80 young people. During his visit, Neil learns how important a sense of permanence and security is in a young person's life.
