It isn't really a nature documentary unless you've got that unique timbre of David Attenborough talking you through it, is it? This programme will focus on the Bat Man of Mexico, who has little or no similarities to The Dark Knight unfortunately, but an interesting fella none the less. Since he first kept vampire bats in his bathroom as a child, Mexican biologist and ecologist Rodrigo Medellin has dedicated his life to saving all species of the flying mammal. Attenborough will narrate his mission to save the endangered lesser long-nosed bat, which would you believe is crucial to the production of tequila as it pollinates the plants the drink is made from. Bats are needed for tequila 'ey, who knew?
