Before there was Rachel there was Darina, but she wasn't the first Allen woman to make her mark on the Irish culinary scene. We're heading further back in Ballymaloe History to meet Myrtle Allen, the Michelin star-winning head chef who is credited with creating an extraordinary culinary legacy. This lady went on to influence generations of artisan producers, hoteliers and restaurateurs, who are all more than willing to pay tribute to her and her legacy.
