Michael McIntyre, the alleged "comedy sensation of 2009" (meh, he just reminds us of an English, brunette version of ALF. Seriously, it's the fringe), arrives on BBC One with a brand new Saturday night entertainment show, featuring the very best in stand up. From the team behind BBC One's Live At The Apollo, Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow travels around, visiting six of the UK's most prestigious venues to introduce comedy's brightest new talent and finest comedians. In this week's opening episode, Michael starts his Comedy Roadshow at the Edinburgh Playhouse, where he is joined by headline guest Rhod Gilbert, with additional stand up from Mark Watson, Stewart Francis and Kevin Bridges. Other headline acts scheduled to appear in this series include: Jason Manford at the Manchester Apollo; Sean Lock at the Swansea Grand; Patrick Kielty at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast; and Al Murray at the Brighton Dome.
