Tonight sees the nine remaining MasterChef Ireland contestants take on their first large-scale catering challenge, where the emphasis is on wild, Irish, organic and in-season food as the contestants travel to Brooklodge in Macreddin Village, County Wicklow Judges Nick Munier and Dylan McGrath set them the task of preparing lunch for 300 walkers taking part in a walk in the Wicklow hills for the John Murray Show on RTE Radio1. Divided into three teams of three the contestants will cook to feed the walkers from a choice of three dishes - Pork, Beef and Fish. The contestants will be judged based on how they perform in the task and the overall taste of the dish and the walkers will be consulted for their opinions of the dishes. The winning team will get the chance to do a service in hotel's much lauded Strawberry Tree restaurant, Ireland's only certified organic restaurant, and a winner of multiple awards for its daily-changing menu of exclusively wild and organic foods sourced from local artisan producers.The following day all nine will be back in the MasterChef kitchen for a taste test of 20 flavours which they must identify in two minutes.
