2019 Day Three
Eilidh Barbour presents live coverage of the third day from Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, where the prestigious event continues. Patrick Reed started and finished this day last year at the top of the leaderboard on 14 under par, and held his nerve throughout to capture his first Major. However, there were a number of good displays from the other players in contention, with Jon Rahm, Rickie Fowler and Rory McIlroy all carding seven-under-par rounds of 65 to end the day in fourth, third and second place respectively, as McIlroy gave himself an excellent chance of completing a career Grand Slam. Meanwhile, it was a round to forget for Marc Leishman, who failed to make a single birdie as he carded a one-over 73 to drop from second to seven strokes off the lead in sixth, and see his hopes of winning a maiden Major all but disappear. Commentary comes from Andrew Cotter, Peter Alliss, Paul Azinger and Ken Brown.
