Despite no Irish teams playing, there will be some Irish involvement in the final.

London based Saracens are coached by Mark McCall, former Irish player and Ulster coach. Under McCall's leadership, the team have won two English premiership titles in a row but, have yet to win a European Cup despite being semi-finalists three years in a row. They have some hugely talented players in their squad, including young second row Maro Itoje, who was one of the standout players of this year's 6 Nations, and are slight favourites to win.

Racing Metro 92 are the former club of Johnny Sexton, and have Ronan O'Gara as their current defence coach. After Sexton returned to Leinster, Racing brought in the greatest out half in world, Dan Carter, to replace him and Carter has successfully lead them to their first ever European Cup final. Many would love to see Carter lift the trophy, about the only one he hasn't lifted before, and any Munster fan will want to see O'Gara win a European Championship as a coach, having won two previously as a player.

Kick-off 4.45pm
