Extended edition of Tuesday's show, which, you guessed it, has an Irish band tonight! (You need to have seen our previous TV highlights - we are very excited about our takeover of British telly tonight). Dublin folk quartet Lynched got their moment in the spotlight this week on Jools with an impressive, unique performance that you wouldn't usually expect to find on Jools, but then he remains open-minded to all kinds of music. As well as that, the host chats to songwriter Burt Bacharach, whose extensive songbook has been reinterpreted into the hit musical Close to You. Soul singer John Newman presents tracks from his second album Revolve, poet Labi Siffre performs again after a 16-year break and there are appearances by post-punk hip-hop duo Sleaford Mods, Manchester-based four-piece Everything Everything and jazz and rhythm 'n' blues singer-songwriter Lizz Wright.
