A new season commences of the series that takes a look at GAA’s biggest stars of the past. In this episode, the life and career of Cork hurling legend Dónal Óg Cusack, who is thought by many to be the greatest goalkeeper of his generation, is looked at. Cusack talks about the highs and lows of his career, including winning All-Ireland titles, being central to a new hurling style, and disagreements with the Cork GAA county board which led to three separate strikes. Dónal Óg was also the first openly gay elite sportsman and he talks about what it was like coming out in 2009.
