Kids on the Edge looks at the case studies that come to Tavistock and Portman, a foundation trust committed to improving the mental health and well-being of young people. This first episode of the three-part series explores the difficult decisions faced by children and their parents when the child feels like they’ve been born into the wrong gender. It follows two families who attend the Tavistock's Gender Identity Development Service, which is the only NHS-run gender identity clinic for children and young people with gender dysphoria.
