While many believe that “queer bashing” (homophobic attacks and bullying) is a thing of the past, this documentary hopes to shatter the illusion and investigate how safe it really is to be gay in Britain today. Homophobic crimes have been on the rise of late and this film talks to victims, their families and the police to try and understand why people are being attacked for their sexuality, and how victims are coping with these assaults. A number of individuals tell their story, including Alex and Becky who are seeking justice for an unprovoked attack in Croydon, and Jenny, whose brother was killed in a homophobic attack in London.
