In a career that spanned 50 years, the late Hugh Leonard, who died on 12 February, penned more than 18 plays for stage and television, two volumes of essays, and two autobiographies. This documentary combines contributions from his family, friends, rivals and critics to present a varied reflection on the writer's life. Your culturadle viewing continues this evening with the latest installment of The View at 11.20pm. Tonight, Mr. Kelly is joined by novellist John Boyne, columnist Ann Marie Hourihane and art critic Cristin Leach to review Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven, starring Liam Neeson and James Nesbitt. Also examined are Tom Tykwer's action-thriller The International, starring Naomi Watts and Clive Owen, and Lance Daly's coming-of-age drama Kisses, which explores the night-life of Dublin through the eyes of two impressionable pre-teens - and isn't in the cinema anymore as it was released yonks ago... It must be a plug for the DVD release.
