How to Defuse a Bomb tells the extraordinary untold story of an NYPD bomb disposal expert’s role in helping to defuse the “Troubles” in Northern Ireland. Narrated by Liam Neeson, the feature won the Audience Award at the 2016 IFI Documentary Festival. Set in 1975, our story follows Denis Mulcahy, an Irish immigrant living in New York who incited by the footage of the Troubles he sees on the news, starts an extraordinary scheme with his family and neighbours.
