This touching documentary provides inspiring viewing for a night in. It tells the story of Orla O’Sullivan, who is deaf and visually impaired, but overcame her demons to become a piano and keyboard teacher to deaf and hearing students. Orla has been profoundly deaf since infancy but is able to feel and ‘hear’ music through vibrations which are interpreted by her brain. Here, she tells her story about making music accessible to the deaf community. She talks about juggling her music with motherhood, and relates the story of one of her greatest accomplishments – the development of a unique music teaching tool for the deaf called Sound Senses.
