It's difficult to get to grips with the fact that dog-fighting is something that still goes on in pockets of society today, but sadly it does. In this Cutting Edge documentary, film-maker Penny Woolcock is reunited with former gang member Dylan Duffus (1 Day, One Mile Away) to explore the criminal subculture of dog-fighting, which in recent years has become a growing problem in inner-city areas. Penny meets some of the people actually involved in it, as well as academics and historians who question attitudes to blood sports and how certain breeds of animals have been demonised by the press yet used as status symbols in other parts of society.
