We are so used to seeing Pat Shortt in his all too hilarious comedy roles, however this movie proved to be an unusual side step for the actor. He plays lonely garage owner Josie who rediscovers his taste for life when he forms a friendship with a teenage boy. His sudden desire to make more of his life leads him to question his feelings for a local shopkeeper (Anne-Marie Duff) but a simple mistake threatens to ruin everything. Directed by the now Oscar nominated Lenny Abrahamson (for 'Room'), Garage really is a fantastic Irish film but yeah, if you are expecting the Killinaskully Pat Shortt, you're in the wrong place.
