David Fincher's jet-black comedy trades on the inadequacy of men, pitching Brad Pitt and Ed Norton together in an explosive, bare-knuckle assault on the conventions of our consumerist society. A disillusioned office worker is growing weary of his humdrum existence, but after meeting the curious Tyler Durden he finds fulfilment in establishing a club where similarly frustrated people come to vent their anger in bouts of no-holds-barred combat.
