He may fall flat on his face but former EastEnders star Matt Lapinskas is planning on trying his luck in Tinsel Town. The actor played Anthony Moon on Albert Square for just over a year and left the show in August 2012.
Since then you may have seen him impressing the judges on Dancing On Ice as well as his current performance in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in the Bord Gais Theatre. However, he has his eyes set on the bright lights of Hollywood now and told RTÉ Ten, "I'm looking forward to giving Hollywood a crack. It should be fun. I hope to land myself a part in a gritty TV series; something that I can really sink my teeth into and make my own."
"You can't really be picky over there, and kind of have to take what you're given. But, I'd love to show them what I can do."
Lapinskas added: "I've started to watch Game of Thrones lately. I think that would be a great show to work on. I'd love that. I'd also like to work with Guy Ritchie or Martin Scorsese. Tom Hardy is a brilliant actor. It would also be cool to work with him."
Well he certainly knows how to dream big but who knows, he certainly has the right accent for Westeros, and they do have an awful lot of former Hollyoaks stars on that show, so why not throw an ex-EastEnder into the mix.
We'll watch this space for now.
