Following on from the success of Wild Atlantic Way, John Creedon goes east for his new show. The four-part series sees Creedon again armed with his trusty VW campervan and enthusiastic attitude.
John travels across seventeen counties in fifty days for the series. Along the way, he recounts the beginnings of Irish civilisation at the Hill of Tara, discusses the invasion of the country by Vikings, and analyses the landing of the Normans. The journey also becomes one of self-discovery as John begins to research his own family tree and gets his DNA tested.
Creedon’s Epic East should provide interesting viewing for history enthusiasts, fans of the Wild Atlantic Way, and lovers of all things Gaelic. If you’re not up to travelling across the country, the series provides the chance to enjoy the sites of Ireland from the comfort of your own couch.
