The GAA may essentially be over (Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh shouts his last at the football finals between Cork and Tyrone (1.15pm), and Cork and Down (3.30pm) today from 12.30pm), but fans of the sport still have this to cling to. Tis the new series of Celebrity Bainisteoir and, if this week's RTE Guide is anything to go by, Blathnaid Ni Chofaigh is the only contestant. Only she's not. Seven other celebrities take charge of an intermediate club football team from their home county in an official GAA tournament, with help from Ciaran Whelan and Liam Kearns. The first quarter-final (yes, already) sees Blathnaid returning to Co Meath to take up the reins at, wait for it, Nobber GFC. Their opponents are Co Fermanagh's Irvinestown GFC, managed by comedian Andrew 'Pipe Lover' Maxwell.
