If you've been slightly perplexed by the omnipresence of Catherine Tate of late (she's been a guest on Graham Norton, Alan Carr, several weekend cookery shows...), it's because she has a prime(ish) time Christmas show she wants to plug the hoop out of so it sets the ratings board alight and becomes an annual event. Nan is the character of choice to star in Tate's Yuletide special. Her acid-tongued insults catch up with her when the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future, along with a dead husband, pay an unexpected visit, in this comic re-telling of Charles Dickens's tale A Christmas Carol. Is it too late for Nan to swap her Scrooge-like misery for some seasonal goodwill? The Christmas special sees Mathew Horne return as Nan's grandson, Jamie, and features appearances from special guests including Ben Miller and Only Fools And Horses actor Roger Lloyd Pack.
