A social worker named Emily (Renée Zellweger) investigates the family of ten-year-old Lillith Sullivan (Jodelle Ferland). When Emily learns of and witnesses first-hand the extent of Lillith’s parents’ abuse, she has the young girl taken away. Emily convinces the board to allow Lillith to live with her until a suitable foster family is found. However, strange, violent and terrifying things shortly begin to happen around Emily. The supporting cast includes Ian McShane and Bradley Cooper. It’s not a particularly impressive horror movie but if you’re looking for a squeal and a laugh at dated SFX, check it out.
