The wager added up to some £15,000 and became one of the most celebrated bets of all time. Now musician Rossa Ó Snodaigh, (Kíla) recreates the challenge. However, Ó Snodaigh has given himself only three weeks to complete the journey there and back, and has to follow Buck’s path, using his diaries as a guide. The journey consists of travelling over 11,000km through 13 countries, and is sure to be a grand adventure. First of a four-part series.
