To refresh; Bad Fellas is a three part documentary series, written and narrated by Paul Williams, and tells the story of some of the pivotal moments in the growth of organised crime in Ireland, as well as examining the reactions to that growth by Government, Gardai, and the broader society. In other words, it's a variant of TV3's salacious and not at all indulgent crime programming. Tonight we're looking at how narcotics became the engine of organised crime in Ireland, from the late 70s to today. After the introduction of heroin to Ireland by the Dunne family - Irish society would never be the same. Since then narcotics has become he most lucrative criminal activity in Ireland bringing with it gang warfare, murder and mayhem.
