In Our Fragile Planet, the third and final episode, David tells the often surprising and deeply personal story of the changes in the environment, the pioneering conservationists whose footsteps he followed, and of the revolution in attitudes towards nature. On a tropical beach in Malaysia, David recalls how in the 1950s he dug up turtle eggs to eat and releases newly hatched turtles into the wild. Finally he asks whether changing attitudes and greater knowledge of the world will be enough to save it for future generations.
