Bryan Cranston stars in this HBO movie about US president Lyndon B Johnson in his tumultuous first year in office, when he took over from the assassinated JFK. It looks at his efforts to pass the Civil Rights Act, which faced much opposition within his own Democratic Party, as well as the president's relationship with Martin Luther King Jr. The film itself is anchored on the performance of Bryan Cranston, as he proves yet again that there are very few roles he cannot play.
