If you don't plan to be glued to the season finale of Desperate Housewives (double bill, starting at 9.00pm on RTE2), this might be more to your taste. In an age where pornography is more accessible than ever - with an unlimited supply just a mouse-click away (it's even free, folks) - the programme investigates causes of the addiction (and it's not as obvious as you might think) including recent evidence that suggests the basis for it may be psychological (in the long term, yes). It also uncovers the human cost of addiction, including men who find their relationships in peril as a result of their reliance. One 16 year old from Bristol has looked at porn online since the age of 13 and it has almost overtaken his life. We follow his progress as he seeks therapy and tries to overcome his addiction, and also meet other younger children who look at porn, some brazenly and others for whom it's a secret obsession.
