In 2010, 12-year-old Paul Gingerich and  15-year-old Colt Lundy shot Colt's step-father dead using his own guns before making their getaway in his car. The killing shocked the nation, and when the middle class boys were tried in an adult court, nobody quite knew what to make of the case.
