There they were, wandering hand in hand along a sunny beach. Little did they know they'd be squabbling over who gets the engagement ring less than a year later.
The one you'd definitely do off The Wanted and the one you'd definitely do off Coronation Street split last spring but Max has demanded Michelle return the ring - worth £1,000 - that he proposed to her with.
A source said: "He is desperate to get it back but is not getting anywhere."
Michelle - AKA Tina 'barmaid with a womb to rent' McIntyre - is believed to have been left "staggered" by Max's sudden demand to get the diamond band back from her, with one close friends of Michelle's telling the Daily Mirror: "It's a bit rich considering all that's subsequently come out (we'll get to that shortly) to suddenly start demanding it back. Perhaps he needs the money." There were early reports that the ring was worth £1,000. As it turns out, those reports were missing a 0... the ring in fact cost £10,000.
The 25-year-old actress is prepared to meet up with Max, 24, to give the ring to him, but he wants her to post him the bauble to avoid an argument, because there's evidently still some bitter feelings between the pair.
On last week's Bauer Radio show In:Demand, Max was asked what the most expensive item he has ever bought was. He replied: "A ring." He was then asked if had got it back, to which he added: "Not yet."
Max and Michelle split in April, claiming work pressures caused the demise of their romance, but the heartthrob's ex-girlfriend claimed she and the singer had enjoyed phone and text sex while he was with the actress.
