The heavens opened and unleashed forty shades of grey upon the cast of Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince in Leicester Square yesterday. Daniel didn't seem to mind. He might enjoy the odd impromptu spritz in the face.

In fact, the only cast member who didn't look damp was Emma Watson; the clever girl commandeered an umbrella. JK Rowling made it up the carpet before the deluge of rain arrived and managed to look incredibly relaxed despite being in the company of William Wallace/Quidditch enthusiasts. Imagine standing there and being able to entertain the thought "My brain did all this". That must be incredibly mental *stars off wistfully*

Moving on; Evanna Lynch cut a dashing figure in her guna deas, Jessie Cave (Rupert Grint's kissing partner in the movie), meanwhile, appeared to be undertaking an ode to Violet Beauregarde. Bonnie Wright (Daniel Radcliffe's love interest) looked fiercely mature in comparison to her character, while Helena-Bonham Carter was a mirror image of her character Bellatrix Lestrange, except with added polka dots. As for Hofit Golan, I've not idea who she is but I doubt she was a popular choice to sit behind in the cinema.

Having seen a screening yesterday, and not being a Harry Potter fan *ducks* (seriously, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was the first film that ever made me want to flee a cinema, and put me off reading the books for life - which made my sister's Christmas present that year particularly dissapointing), I feel compelled to impart that this film is one of the best we'll see this year. Jim Broadbent hijacks the proceedings in spectacular fashion, as do the myriad of teenage hormones on display, and the opening sequence alone is well worth the trek to your local multiplex. The film opens here on July 17th.
