Move this to the top of your CV. Today the Nobel Prize committee awarded the European Union with the 2012 Peace Prize, for it's "fraternity between nations" and for changing "most of Europe from a continent of war to a continent of peace". And seeing as we are all citizens of said Union, technically some of that prize is ours. So pat yourself on the back, Nobel Prize winner. You join the ranks of Barack Obama, John Hume and David Trimble, Aung San Suu Kyi and The 14th Dalai Lama, and get your share of the prize fund of $1.2 million, which works out as roughly €924,000. Divided over the population of the EU, that's .18 Cent. Not 18c. Point. One. Eight. Cent. So technically nothing.
Either way, we're still waiting for them to divide up the crown á la Lindsay in Mean Girls.
