Actress Zoe Saldana has shared a fascinating timelapse video revealing how transformative the makeup she had put on her for her character in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 really was.

Saldana plays Gamora in the film and its 2014 hit predecessor. The character is an alien assassin and Saldana had to spend over 3 hours in make-up every day of shooting the role.

She edits the process down into a mere 38 second long video.

The video could be inspired by the fact that Saldana has been repeatedly asked about her makeup process for the film while touring and promoting it. The sequel has proven to be a hit given its opening weekend made $101.2 million in the box office internationally.
