In case you missed it, Yaya Toure's agent has been making a few strange statements, and he was on Sky Sports News last night to...eh..."clarify" the situation
Yaya Toure has hit the headlines in a very strange way these last few days after it seems that he's very upset over the fact that Manchester City didn't show him enough respect by not getting him a birthday card or cake. Disgraceful behaviour, of course.
The usual course of action in a case like this is for a player's agent to go in to "damage control" mode and try to take the sting out of things with his public declarations, but instead Dimitry Seluk has decided to take another route and insist his client is in fact unhappy and that he wants out, but, as he is at pains to point out, it's not about the money
It certainly makes for one of the weirder interviews we've heard, and while it is sometimes a bit difficult to understand exactly what he's getting at, the main points are clear: Yaya doesn't like it at City, he likes Barcelona, and he's willing to take a pay cut to get out. Doesn't sound good if you're a City fan...
