Anderson Cooper is widely regarded as not only one of the most well-respected reporters on American television, but also one of the best.
The CNN anchor comes from a well-off background (his Mother is a heiress), but instead of living off of the family name and putting his feet up he decided he wanted to be a war reporter. Then the question becomes, well, how does one get into that line of work?
It turns out, he literally flew himself to war zones with a camera to show the networks he was serious.
