A murmuration is the collective noun for a flock of seagulls, but what it means in this instance is a creepily large number of birds flying over your head. You know that scene in True Detective when McConaughey sees that weird-squiggly symbol thing in the flock of birds? Same kinda thing. We wonder if these two ladies were out on the Shannon investigating a grizzly murder.
