YouTube user boogie2988 is overweight, and he's more than aware that he has a problem. However, he has to deal every day with people abusing him online and in person who feel as though they need to tell him he's overweight.
In this powerful video, he asks why do people feel that they have to hate fat people, and states that there's a "fat people hate movement" that seems to be stronger now than it ever has been before.
By his own admission, he's heard it all, and that after years on YouTube he's become immune to it, but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt other people who are, a lot of the time, dealing with a number of difficult issues themselves.
His video has been going viral since he posted it just yesterday, and has already accumulated over 145,000 views (at the time of writing), so there's a lot of people out there with are finding truth in his message. Perhaps the most poignant idea is that when you insult a fat person or you post in a hate group, the truth is you know you're not helping anyone, and probably doing a lot of damage.
