The bar has been set when it comes to Mother's Day surprises, everyone.
This Sunday is Mother's Day, and with the help of Lidl, one Irishman was able to make a long trip from the other side of the world to visit his mum at a time of year that's important to her particularly, given the death of her son Andrew shortly after Mother's Day a few years ago.
Making the trip home from Australia, her son was able to give her a huge surprise, not only by showing up on her doorstep with flowers and chocolates, but also by bringing her 13-month-old grandson Anderson, whom she had never met, along for the trip. The result is a pretty emotional reunion.
There's something in our eye here...
