Stephen Colbert has proven himself to be a masterful storyteller time and time again but his rendition of the night he realised his wife was 'the one' is probably the best example that we'll ever see.
In advance of a taping of The Late Show, Colbert took some questions from the audience members in order to warm them up. One audience member asked Colbert, who's been married for twenty three years, how he knew his wife was the one.
Stephen was delighted to share the 'shortened version' of that story and it's really something else. Featuring motherly advice, a chance meet cute and references to Homer's 'The Odyssey', it hits all the right notes and you really should set 7 minutes of your day aside to check it out.
