Sacha Baron Cohan was awarded the Charlie Chaplin Brittania Award for Excellence in Comedy on Saturday night, and after being introduced by Salma Hayek, Cohan took to the stage to accept the award from one Grace Coddington, the oldest living person to have worked with Chaplin. And then of course, it all went south (just as planned).
Just wait for it (and bonus points if you manage to catch Isla Fisher trying to calm everyone down after it all happens).
Once the prank was done and the audience realise the joke was on them, Cohan said Grace Collington is the oldest, sorry, was the oldest. I dedicate my award to her. It's obviously a tragedy, but on the bright side what a great way to go. She'll probably make the Oscars In Memoriam section…Anyway tonight is not about her, it's about me.'
