And as you might expect, that resulted in a few moments that were fairly funny, and some that were quite serious.
Farage, the leader of UKIP, was branded as a "pound shop Enoch Powell" by Brand, who also said that people need to "watch him", because he was pointing at immigrants and the disabled as the cause of the economic problems that the UK and Europe in general are currently going through.
Brand has been campaigning for a number of different causes in recent months (including Irish Water) and as a result a member of the audience did challenge him to stand for election, but he claimed that he was afraid of becoming "one of them".
